Getting Started
What The Cargo Exchange is, who it's for, and how to sign up.
What is The Cargo Exchange?
The Cargo Exchange is a freight load board connecting verified brokers who post loads with carriers and dispatchers who haul them. Brokers post loads for free; carriers and dispatchers subscribe to search, book, and manage freight. Every company is verified against FMCSA records before they can participate.
How do I sign up?
Choose your role — broker or carrier — and create an account. Brokers verify with their MC number; carriers verify with their DOT number. Dispatchers join by invitation from a carrier they work with rather than signing up directly.
What can I do on the platform?
Carriers and dispatchers can search and filter loads, see real-time profit and rate information, book loads instantly or by bidding, message brokers, manage a document packet, and post available trucks. Brokers can post loads, search available trucks, and manage bookings.
Do I have to pay to use it?
Brokers post loads for free. Carriers and dispatchers pay a monthly subscription to access the load board and its tools. See the Billing & Subscription section for plans and pricing.
